I was FINALLY able to take some time off and visit Chicago this past weekend. I was specifically going to experience the Taste of Chicago. With that being said my entire time was well spent stuffing my face. However through my trip I was able to capture Chicago in a fascinating light. Take a look!
My first stop was at the vendor Farmer's Fresh where I got the chili, lime water melon. The watermelon was so red and sweet that EVERYONE was lined up.
My next stop was to the food truck, "Da Lobsta." They had mouth-watering lobster that had a line wrapped around the corner. It was expensive but sooo worth it.
This was probably my favorite dish. I love experiencing different types of food from around the world and "Vee-Vee's Nigerian" hit the nail on the head. The meat was so tender that it literally fell off the bone. And if you ever had jollaf rice, you know if was perfect.
I'm sure that "O'Brian's" had better food but the corn on the cob was perfected roasted to perfection.
After I was finished stuffing my face, I visited so really cool art exhibits, starting at legendary Art Institute. This museum is so massive that it literally takes all day to fully digest all of the artwork. The artwork included Gordon Parks, ancient Chinese pottery, British paintings, Native American wardrobes, and the list goes on.
